BLAZE WITH TONIE CHRISTINE- A PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS INTENSIVE
Having decided to fully embrace the creative journey, I decided early on to soak up any advice and perspective I could learn from some of the great photographers who paved the path before me. At the top of my business action plan this year was to attend a photography workshop in order to grow my knowledge and skills, and also make sure I have all my steps in line to run a successful business. I have followed Tonie Christine Photography for several years now, and when I saw her post about her photography workshop, BLAZE, I didn't think twice before signing up. How could I not take the opportunity to learn from such an incredibly talented photographer?! I mean, it was a serious no brainer. And, if you are new photographer, I highly recommend taking her workshop next time she offers it!
The day was broken up into several great sessions about the various aspects of running a photography business and an amazing styled wedding shoot. I cannot thank Tonie enough for sharing all of her wisdom and experiences with us. It was so meaningful to feel a part of a community of growing photographers cheering each other along the way. I am so excited to see the direction my business is headed with all of this new knowledge I walked away with. Although I photograph a wide variety of different types of shoots---family, maternity, event, etc.---I have realized that weddings and engagements are what make my heart sing. I love photographing the love and emotion between two people and it means the world to me to be able to give them something that captures it. After attending Tonie's workshop, I want to pour my focus into formulating the best client experience I can possibly give.
I am over-the-moon with excitement still that I was given the opportunity to photograph the gorgeous styled shoot that Kaleb Norman James and Bespoke Strokes created. It was all kinds of dreamy loveliness and I am so excited to share some of my photos with you. Enjoy, and try to keep your jaw from hitting the floor when you see every little detail!
